Holiday Inn New York City − Times Square Welcomes New General Manager

Ivan Weiner, a hospitality leader with over 30 years of experience and a reputation for operational excellence, strategic innovation and commitment to guest service, has been appointed general manager of the Holiday Inn New York City − Times Square.

Throughout his distinguished career, Ivan has managed properties from boutique and independent hotels to full-service branded operations. Most recently, Ivan was general manager of the Holiday Inn Express Poughkeepsie in New York’s Hudson Valley. Prior to that, he was general manager at New York’s Excelsior Hotel and the Algonquin Hotel Times Square, Autograph Collection.

Ivan’s hospitality journey began in food and beverage, managing restaurants and lounges for the former Host Marriott company at New York’s JFK and LaGuardia airports. These formative years instilled a commitment to quality, team development and creating memorable guest experiences that laid a foundation for his leadership style as he transitioned into hotel management.

He served in food and beverage leadership roles at the JW Marriott Essex House New York, on the opening teams of the New York Marriott Marquis and Sheraton Crossroads Hotel in Mahwah, New Jersey, and as complex director of the Westchester Marriott and former Helmsley Palace Hotel.

Ivan resides with his wife, Joy, in Rockland County, New York, and enjoys spending time with their two sons, Brandon and Scott, and their families in New Jersey.
