In a tribute to the fathers who help keep hospitality running smoothly every day, several M&R hotels hosted Father’s Day celebrations last month.
Festivities included a lively associate barbecue for the Best Western JFK Airport Hotel, Days Inn by Wyndham Jamaica/JFK Airport, Airport Grand JFK and Holiday Inn Express LaGuardia Airport. According to Area General Manager Alan Chan, staff gathered to honor fathers from each hotel in a fun day for all. The team enjoyed a flavorful spread featuring jerk chicken, baked fish, BBQ pork, fried rice, vegetable lo mein, fresh salads and a selection of seasonal fruits. The event offered a moment of appreciation and camaraderie, allowing the team to relax, connect and celebrate.
At the Fairfield Inn New York Manhattan/Central Park, the hardworking fathers on staff were treated to a day of wellness and relaxation with pampering treatments at a local spa. General Manager Yan Chung said the relaxing massages and gifts were a gesture of appreciation and a well-deserved break designed to recognize their hard work both on the job and at home.
These Father’s Day celebrations fostered a strong sense of community across the hotels. By honoring the fathers who play a vital role in delivering memorable guest experiences, each property reinforced the values of appreciation, teamwork, and respect that lie at the heart of M&R’s workplace culture.
